Chalkboard fabric is a portable, lightweight, flexible vinyl that can be cured to be used as a chalkboard. Just like the ones in classrooms.

Curing Tips: It is important to cure your new chalkcloth before you use it for the first time. This is done by laying a piece of chalk on its side on the surface of the chalkcloth and rubbing it all over- side to side and top to bottom. Clean. Then repeat this process again. Your chalkcloth is now ready for use. You can cure your chalkboard repeated, if it begins to wear off.

Chalkcloth is not recommended as a tablecloth where food is involved, since grease from food can negate the chalkboard-like qualities and ruin the finish.
