This Gothic inspired rose pattern coutil is an excellent quality - fine, dense, strong and easy to work with it make a great single layer corset. A color card of all of our coutil options is available. This is "true" coutil manufactured specifically for corset making. Our color selection may be limited but you are assured this is coutil and not just being promoted as coutil. 

Coutil is a fabric that has been designed specifically for building corsets. It is high in cotton content, tightly woven to inhibit penetration of bones/stays and is not inclined to stretch. It has a smooth finish and is comfortable when worn close to the skin though the wearing of a chemise or modern type undershirt is always recommended.

If you need 3/4 yds, order a quantity of 1.5, if you need 3 yards, order a quantity of 6. If machine washed and dried expect a shrinkage rate of 6.25%. Press the fabric while it is still damp.
