Another solid option for shorts or a shirt is Lu’au Aqua, a stretch-woven poly-cotton lightweight twill. This fabric has the soft feel of a brushed chino.  It is lightweight enough to wear as a summer top, and substantial enough to wear as shorts, slacks and a golf or tennis skirt. It also takes embroidery very well.
