Lore Prima and Lore Seconda (VF221-11), are 100% cotton rib knits from the same American mill that brought us the Hatha rib knits in last year’s Early Spring catalog.  Lore Prima is a micro-rib knit with a hand that is so soft, it feels like rayon.  Lore Seconda is a 2x1 rib knit that can be used as your neckband and cuffs, but it will also be lovely as a focus fabric.

If you want to whip up a knit tank or cami to wear under the floral print, treat yourself to Tyros Blanca.  This 100% Modal knit is lightweight, soft to the touch, has all-way stretch, is breathable and moisture wicking, which is perfect for the hot days ahead. Modal is classified as a type of rayon since it is made from the pulp of Beech trees.  It is more absorbent that cotton and has moisture wicking properties.

For many of us there is still a chill in the air, so we proffer Tyros Cozy, a heathered charcoal French terry sweater knit.  Rogie says she constructed the FitNice System Surena Jacket (along with the FitNice System Master Top with scoop neck shown in the photo) in under two hours and she loves wearing them together. We don’t have the exact contents for the terry sweater knit, but the ticket from the mill says CVC, which is technical lingo for chief value cotton, indicating that this is most likely a poly cotton blend with over 50% cotton. You’ll love the heavier weight of this all-way stretch sweater knit when the nights turn chilly.

Hula Sky, the second of our 100% cotton micro rib knits in this catalog, is soft to the touch...like super snuggle soft. We couldn’t resist adding this cotton-rich, lightweight jersey knit.  At 66” wide, Diverse Savannah will only need one yard for sewing most short sleeve tops. The underlying knit is styled on a subtle diagonal, which is a background design effect - the print is not on a diagonal.  Line up the grainline of your pattern pieces parallel to the selvages.
