If you don't have the swatch of this fabric, you would not know that the cool blue is printed on the face of a light weight, tightly oven, thin linen shirting fabric.  We first featured this fabric in coral in our Spring 2020 catalog (VF202-15), and we are happy to present it in this wonderful blue tone.  Sew any number of summer tops, color block it with the color companion, or wear it as really loose, drawstring shorts at the beach. If you like modesty, wear a slip, cami, or bike shorts under your garment for when the sunlight catches you from behind.

And now for something completely different...we present this linen batik.  The pale blue is the same shade as the preceding stretch cotton fabric, and the dark is a soft navy.  Tightly woven, this lightweight linen is ideal for sewing summer shirts, shells, tunics, skirts, shorts, and loose, Boho dresses.  You can even make a sarong to wear with a simple top.

This woven linen is ideal for sewing button-down shirts, loose draw-string pants, and lined dresses. The fibers are softened feel good against the skin.  It is not stiff, but it is not fluid either.  It's hand is similar to a cotton shirting, but with a slightly looser weave. Breathes really well.  Perfect to wear in hot climates.  

Abode Orchids linen print is a stunning choice for a sheath dress, three-quarter length jacket, or summer slacks and shell.  In the catalog, we incorrectly marked the care instructions.  If you wash it, the hand will become softer and more casual.  If you want to keep the crispness of the linen, we recommend dry cleaning.

Now for something unusual.  Behold Chá Branches, featuring stems and leaves splayed across an white linen base cloth.  Alternating stipes of looser and tighter weaving provide a textural flair.  We chose this as a companion to the following beige linen blend. Chay Blocks is the coral version of the printed linen featured in our first collection (VF213-05).  Choose this linen for sewing into a fashion tunic to wear with Capris sewn from the herringbone (VF213-31) to produce a “no-brainer” wonderful summer outfit when you just want to enjoy a bit of wine and conversation with friends in the backyard.
