Rayon Suitings

Dożynki Elegance is the black version of the lyocell twill SR225-01.  Sew a little black dress you can wear with a tweed jacket, or sew wide-legged pants that complements the fluid motion of the weave. This medium weight woven is a dark, rich black.

Felix Stretch Gabardine is a medium weight stretch suiting fabric with a touch of spandex for added comfort and wearing ease. It is perfect for making stylish suits, skirts, and slacks.  This is a rich, dark, cognac color.

Two fabrics - four options.  HBR Uptown and HBR Downtown are both reversible stretch-woven bottom-weights ideal for structured garments.  You can even use them together in a pieced garment for added intrigue.  Please note, the stretch runs along the grain so cut your sewing pattern across the grain, allowing the stretch to wrap around your body.  Our images for this fabric are oriented for cutting the fabric out across the grain.

This high-end, worsted suiting fabric feels like a super 180 wool but it is really a rayon blend. The twisted threads make the fiber wrinkle resistant. The rayon gives it softness, the polyester provides durability and color fastness, the spandex means you have some built-in ease with a bit of crossgrain stretch.

We chose Flats Suiting because the color blends beautifully with the prints. This is actually the Antique Gold color from our Felix Stretch Gabardine Collection. The heavy drape looks stylish as flared pants, and the stretch of this woven suiting provides built-in ease should you choose to sew a jacket or sheath.

We were thrilled to receive Idiom Pinstripe from that same New York source who brought us the rings (VF234-38). Feel the drape of this viscose twill and imagine the suit-dress, skirt, and slacks you will tailor for a work wardrobe.  The colors work well with the two challis prints, but they are absolutely pitch-perfect as a match to our tipsy martini organic cotton print (VF234-42).

Nature Romance features subtle, swirling undertones of moss and dark blue-grey, topped with a Baroque design in pale mauve and cream. *The content was not listed on this fabric when we purchased it from a fashion designer's deadstock. Our best guess from burning the fabric is that it is a rayon and acetate blend.
