Wool Coating Fabric

This is a single brushed melton, so the face has a napped pile, while the reverse does not.  This fabric will make a stunning black winter jacket or coat, and you can save your off-cuts to use as contrast collar and cuffs on one of our other meltons.

This is a double brushed melton, with the face and the reverse looking nearly identical.  It is surprisingly lightweight for a winter coating fabric, which makes it an ideal choice for wrap jackets.  You can add Kasha winter coat lining and thinsulate if you wish to make it warmer and more substantial, or line it with Crepe Back Satin to give the inside a pretty pop of color.
