- Fun ShimabukuroApr 11, 2025, 05:18 PMI want to like this Snake scales fabric BUT it sheds so much black ink before and during washing and even when drying.
My fingers all got black just handling it - before washing. So I washed it and the water was black with ink. When in the dryer it turned some white towels grey.
So, NO, I do not recommend this fabric. I will still sew something with it but will have to be super careful about coming in contact with any light-colored clothing or seat coverings.
Should have gotten a swatch first. Live and learn.
