These sequins flip over to reveal a different look on each side.   One side is a strong Red sequin, the other is power Blue. The sequins are stitched well to the base knit fabric, so they don't come off like cheap imitations - this is great for applique work!

To sew a regular seam: smooth all sequins so they are facing one direction.  Stitch with Universal size 12 needle.
To stitch for applique: smooth sequins so they are going one direction.  Lay tissue paper or wash-away interfacing on top so the sequins don't get caught in the presser foot.  Topstitch as normal.

Alpaca Fake Fur Fabric is super soft, medium weight knit style, shaggy-pile fur fabric tipped with a soft ivory. It has wonderful drape for apparel and home decor.  This is a medium weight knit faux fur so you can leave the fur on the seam allowances without adding bulk. For easy cutting lay your pattern pieces on one layer of fur with the wrong side up. Using a chalk or fabric marker trace the pattern piece on the wrong side, then cut through the backing layer only.  Look for more helpful tips on working with Faux Fur and other fabrics in Sandra Betzina's book "More Fabric Savvy".

Both are medium-weight, coarsely woven Kolkata Gauze. Designers love working with these fabrics because they have more body than regular, lightweight, gossamer gauze. Sew loose, drawcord pants from Climate Blanche and add a big, rolled cuff at the bottom to give the pants some weight at the hem. Make a cold-shoulder top from Climate Noire to wear with the white pants when you dine al fresco. Chic, seasonally appropriate, and easy. All summer garments should be so wonderful!
