Patterns - Folkwear #233 Glamour Girl Dress. Glamour oozed in Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s, and this is the daytime dress the starlets wore. A close-fitting bodice is highlighted by a narrow "V" neckline. Front bodice and skirt gather into a curved midriff that ties at center front, providing snug individual fit. A fitting back hip yoke ensured a smooth line. The flared skirt draped gracefully at center front and back bias seams. The three-quarter length sleeves are distinctively gathered at the elbow. dress zips at the left side seam. Shoulder pads are essential for the proper early 1940s silhouette.
