Due to many requests for something, which could be used to attach the two cut ends of hoop steel when forming a "hoop" Farthingales decided to have a product made in part due to demand and in part due to the fact that the hoop steel manufacturers had nothing to offer. It is a rather costly venture but we are sure the end result will be worth the effort on our part and the cost on yours. The principle behind the idea is to make the joining of hoop ends as simple as possible and to make them simple to disassemble as well. Present ways of connecting the ends seem to be either binding with medical tape or drilling a hole through both ends and stitching together. The tape eventually leaves a sticky residue and is not simple to remove and the drilling is not always an option, depending on tool availability and quality of steel. These hoop "connectors" are a channel of stainless steel into which you insert one end of the cut steel before sliding it into the casing. The ends of the "connector" are shaped such that there are no corners to catch on the casing and the hoop steel easily slides through. When it gets to the end simply slide the other cut end of hoop steel into the empty end of the "connector" — Done.
