This is 100% cotton. During the manufacture of the terry cloth/velour it is customary and usual to encounter some wayward threads and other tiny bits that get caught up in the weaving of the fabrics at the mill. There may also be a pull in the loops here and there which you can cut away. These manufacturing idiosyncrasies are beyond our control and part of the manufacturing process - they are not considered flaws.
