Machine wash cold with cool dryer. Can be washed on hot, but heat will adversely affect the rubber over time.

The rubber core is wrapped by the polyester fibers.  There is good, firm stretch with great recovery.  

If you are sewing for PPE face coverings and need cord elastic to run behind the ear, this is a great option because it is not fully round like a cord and not fully flat like the flat braid elastic.  Very comfortable for extended use.
