Wool Blends

If you find you need a new winter coat or jacket, it’s not too late to sew one.  Adamas Couture is a gray and black tweed in a  wool and nylon blend.  The glen plaid features an overpane in rich royal blue.  For additional warmth, line it with Kasha winter coat lining.  Need even more warmth?  Interline it with Thinsulate.

Jag Gab, our duffle green poly-wool gabardine, is best suited for sewing and tailoring any number of fashion suiting separates.  This suiting is wide and priced really well, so get started sewing slacks and a jacket, or a skirt and vest, or all of these!

This is a single brushed melton, so the face has a napped pile, while the reverse does not.  This fabric will make a stunning  winter jacket or coat, and you can save your off-cuts to use as contrast collar and cuffs on one of our other meltons.  The face is so soft, you will believe it has cashmere in it.

You can make it warmer by adding Kasha Winter Coat Lining and Thinsulate.  You can also keep it as-is and make a wrap jacket.

This is a double brushed melton, with the face and the reverse looking nearly identical.  It is surprisingly lightweight for a winter coating fabric, which makes it an ideal choice for wrap jackets.  You can add Kasha winter coat lining and thinsulate if you wish to make it warmer and more substantial, or line it with Crepe Back Satin to give the inside a pretty pop of color.

Luthier Reversible has such incredible softness you will love wearing it against your skin. Get busy creating an ensemble that showcases both sides. The wool and cotton provide comfortable breathability, while the spandex gives it a built-in ease. The darker side is the exact same color as the animal spots of Luthier Intrigue (VF231-14).

Made in Italy by Bonnotto comes this dark wine, virgin wool blend suiting we call Homage Chianti. We purchased it as designer deadstock from a New York fashion house when they were done cutting their spring line, so the price is far less than what you would pay for regular order goods. Although it has 2% spandex, there is very little stretch to it.
