Drapery Linings

Each room in the house requires a different ambiance.  For bedrooms we like to keep the sunlight out while we sleep late and therefore need room darkening blackout lining behind our drapes.  For our family room, great room and den we wish to keep the heat of summer and cold chill of winter outside, and therefore choose thermal and moisture barrier linings for those drapes.  Vogue Fabrics proudly presents several popular drapery lining fabrics for your home.

According to the University of Wisconsin, "an average window will lose almost 10 times as much energy as the same area of wall or ceiling. Keep your energy bills in check during winter by taking steps to insulate your windows. Caulking and vapor sealing are not enough. Drapery fabrics, coupled with ThermalSuede drapery lining, not only creates a buffer between your home and the cold, it also adds to the "warmth", or comfortable decorative appeal, of your rooms. For more information on insulating your windows, call the University of Wisconsin at 608-262-3346 and refer to the "Energy Conserving Window Treatments: Insulated Shades and Draperies" handout.
